Climbing Instructor/Team Member
The Tide is a new large Climbing Centre based in the heart of Cornwall. Our team have visited, built, and worked in climbing facilities and centre’s all over the world and we have distilled our favorite parts from each to create The Tide Climbing Centre. Now we are looking for the best team to provide outstanding customer service, improve our processes and drive sales within the business.

The best candidate for this position must be an excellent communicator, sociable, and confident to help encourage all types of customers and colleagues.

Duties/Responsibilities
● To provide climbing sessions that meet our high standards
● To provide excellent customer service: in person, by phone and via email/social media
● Team members must be confident to take on a variety of tasks, including climbing coaching and demonstrations, a willingness to learn climbing skills are a definite bonus.
● Communicating with the senior team to ensure and improve the smooth running of the climbing centre and business
● To work efficiently on reception driving sales, dealing with customer bookings and general administration
● To be proactive in dealing with cleaning, Health & Safety, maintenance and other vital centre duties
Essential skills
● The ability to work independently and as part of a team
● Drive sales to potential customers
● Problem solving attitude
● Competent computer skills
● Group coaching experience with juniors and adults
● Friendly approachable manner
Essential skills
● First Aid qualifications/experience in dealing with first aid
● Personal climbing experience

Essential Qualifications
● Rock climbing instructor award
● CWI

Hours, pay and perks

● Up to 40 hours per week
● Shifts will include daytime, evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays and good surf days.
● Free / unlimited climbing, hot drinks and fitness classes.

Important information and dates
This role is a fixed term contract for 6 months starting date March 23rd – 23rd September 2020.
You must be available to work through-out these dates.
This role is best suited to an experienced climbing instructor.
